Basically, I am having pain during a bowel movement and my anus is very swollen and red afterwards. This has been happening for a month now and I did get some suppositories from the doctors but they have not worked. I have noticed a sore lump close to my anus so I don't know if that has anything to do with it? I also feel quite itchy sometimes and uncomfortable down there too. And I have seen a small amount of blood on toilet paper once or twice. I really hate going to the toilet now as I know it will hurt and I just want it to go away and get better! Any ideas? Please help!

My son is 7 weeks old. Since he was born he has had terrible problems with his belly :(. At birth he was very constipated and i had to help him go to the bathroom everyday with a thermometer. Finally the doctor said that he was having trouble breaking down the protein in the milk which was making him constipated so he switched him to gerber good start which is partially broken down and it helped a little bit. However he still grunts and moans and groans all day and struggles to go. He goes about once every 2 or 3 days. He also has silent reflux which he is taking pepcid for. He is always gassy and in pain and never sleeps. He is just not a happy baby. I havent slept in weeks and neither has he. I heard that the formula called nutrimagen works wonders for babies like mine. Has anyone else had a good expierence with this milk? I have a problem with it near my panty line on the folds of my skin near my legs and it was causing me alot of problems so I got some Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and put it on a cotton ball and rubbed it over the area that was bothering me the most. I can't say that it smelled great, but it did seem to work to help control the itch. Monistat makes a good cream to use for the itching and the yeast infection. Try drinking 4 oz of real cranberry juice every night (not cranberry juice cocktail - too much sugar). Also try to start eating greek and low-fat yogurt. The both contain live cultures that can help with the yeast. Good luck!

My dog is throwing up blood?

Brown to light blonde hair?

My 1 month old has extreme issues with constipation, I don't know what else to do! Please help?

My son is one month old. He has had trouble with constipation since day 1. He hardly ever goes to the bathroom on his own. He doesn't go for a while and I can tell he's in pain and trying to push but nothing is coming out. I then have to insert a thermometer into his rectum and pump his legs and push on his stomach for the poop to come out and when it does it is very hard and he strains to go. I have tried giving him pear juice, Karo syrup in milk and water, just plain water, water with anise, and infant suppositories. I have also tries adding more water to his formula. I have switches from similac to similac sensitive and am now trying Enfamil gentlease. He does not really seem to want to drink the gentlease. It's takes me forever to get him to drink a 4 oz bottle where as he would drink Te similar in minutes. I dont know what else to do! He is awake all day and most of the night grunting and fussing. Neither of us are sleeping and it's beggining to take a toll on me :(. I have also tried warm baths. He farts alot but no poop. Do you think there could be something wrong with his belly? Have you had an experience where your baby did not like the formula? What should I do, pleaseeeee help me. The Doctor keeps telling me it's normal but I know in my heart it is not. He does not have occasional constipation, he is like this all the time. Thanks

Yeast infection worries?

Last week I was taking antibiotics to help cure a my first cold sore outbreak. However now it seems I have some sort of vaginal infection. The discharge had mucus was thicker than usual and seemed very strong, like fish. There was very little irritation and no itching. Assuming it was a yeast infection I used a generic medication called Miconazole-1 to get rid of it in one day. I used the suppository and now I am getting excessive amounts of what seems to be the medication exciting my body. It is very thick, pure white, and is foam-like. The smell has almost completely gone away but I'm worried about the "discharge." It has been a day and a half since I used the medication. Is the medication working or is something else going on?

Baby gas or growth spurt or something else?

My son has been miserable since first thing this morning. So about a year ago I had a surgery on my foot, that left me in bed for a good 3 weeks. When I finally got out of my bed I noticed that my butt itched a lot! It is not uncommon for a fully breast fed baby to go up to 10 days without a bowel movement. He absolutely does not need a suppository, unless when he goes it is very hard in consistency he is not constipated. Constipation is defined by the hard consistency of the stool, not the frequency of the bowel movements.

last month after my monthly period (starts on 7th-of the month), i i had the fishy smell from my vagina, no discharge. it happened i was with the doctor for a papsmear but the doctor only checked my vagina and she said it's clean, no need for papsmear. i told her about the fishy smell, she said it's normal. i observed days and days until it came to more than a week and smell is still there and very strong. I did not go back to her anymore, I washed my vagina with apple cidar vinegar and bought vagina suppository for 7 days. after that, smell was gone for a while. But to my surprise, my monthly period came earlier, 1st of the month. then after my period, the fishy smell is back! so i bought again vagina suppository, but after a day, the fishy smell is again back. what will i do? can anyone tell me why i am experiencing this? can anyone tell me what brand of vagina suppository is the best? thank you.

i did not read 100% of this truthfully, but this is what i would suggest. i have had the same thing and i went to the doctor. they said it was not a uti but put me on antibiotics anyway beacause i have adrenal insufficiency so he donst take chances with me. it went away. then i had it again and all i did was drank a bunch of cranberry juice and havnt had one since! :) i didnt think it was a uti beacuse it didnt feel the same at all. after i did some reasurch i found out that it was a very minor type of infection that usually dosnt show up. idky. but just drink some cranbery juice and if that dosnt help then go to the doctor! :)

My hair is naturally dark/medium blonde. I dyed it light brown a while ago, and since have used a Revlon Frost & Glow kit with the highlighting cap where I pulled my hair through, to give it highlights. It made my hair a medium/honey blonde color which I LOVE. However, my dark blonde roots are starting to grow out. They are not super noticeable, but you can definitely tell. I want to use the Revlon Frost & Glow kit again (I am a college student and cannot afford to go to a salon) but I'm afraid the ends of my hair will get TOO blonde. Any suggestions??? So, I got a gel refill and two totally new gel nails (they had fallen out) and when I put them under the UV light (so they could cure and harden) they burned really bad for about 10 sec especially the newly put on gel nails. I have natural dark blonde hair. I recently used Revlon Frost & Glow with the pull through cap to give it some highlights. I love it! It worked great, and since I'm a college student who can't afford the salon, I love it even more. However, it's been a few months and my dark blonde roots are growing out and it looks kind of dumb. My baby (1 month) is supplemented and she hasn't a bowel movement in 2 weeks her doctor recommended fleet pedialax liquid glycerin suppositories. They're are for children ages 2-5. Toddler Constipation- what can i do about it?

My son is three years old and suffers from constipation on a regular basis. Am I going to have a miscarriage?

I have been TTC for 3 months now. I took Clomid and also had to have DH give me the ovadril shot. This did not work for the first 2 months, but this month my doctor also added prometrium suppositories twice a day. Yesterday morning I went to get a blood test and my doctor called me in the afternoon to tell me I am pregnant! But then she said that my HGC level was 12 which is a little low but it still may just be because it is early (LMP was March 28). She asked me if I have ever had a miscarriage and I said no (I do have a 2 year old daughter and I got pregnant with her using the same medications) and she said well we will repeat the bloodwork on Monday to see if it has doubled and then again in a week. Sick Dog stomach pain any suggestions?

My dog is not doing to well went to the vet Friday , they seem to think intestinal trouble. So I brought him home on a diet. He was sick to his stomach about 7 times in the house. He is a good dog never bite anyone. nip a few times at people , but it's usually when he wants to be let alone and kids keep bugging him but never bite. So I stayed up with him . He can't move bowels and is drinking a lot though.He is peeing a lot. He seems to want to eat other things but not anything that has been in this diet .Rice , Yogurt, carrots ,sweet potatoes ,mashed potatoes chicken with rice. He is not picky when it comes to food. He loves raw carrots , chicken and even loves sweet potatoes. My daughter was eating cheez its she forgot and gave him a few gone in seconds. So on Friday I was told if he still didn't move his bowels , then something had to happen . Bring him back. Now I am a single parent and my income is ok. Well I tryed everything this weekend. Milk of mag , fish oil still nothing. So I was told by my pastor. His friend is a vet give him a suppository . So I did of course he was not happy but tolerated it. Well when I put it in , it was like a pressure valve air and watery sh t came out. the only way to explain is shake a coke and and open. So he still was ok but now crap on his butt as well as the fine line the squirted out. So bath time. Take him in the tube his butthole is swollen out red. I don't tan much, I am actually pretty pale. I never really tried to tan because I didn't think it was possible for someone like me to get good color. Value of a cowboy hat?

I own a cowboy hat from the Larry Mahan line that I purchased at Vail in 1979. It's made out of pressed beaver fur & is in almost mint condition with a feather hatband enhanced with a turquoise stone. The hat is a silver/gray color. Colon Cleansing: laxatives vs suppliments?

I have been reading up a lot on the whole colon cleansing process. I am 28 years old and about 50 pounds overweight and was looking at starting some sort of weight loss regimen to slim down a bit for summer. All of the supplements seem so expensive and the natural cleansing remedies (sea salt dissolved in 2 qt water) seem far from appealing! Would I get the same result if I just took a bunch of laxatives or inserted a suppository? I have felt so terrible for months now, having every blood test known to man, returning "within normal limits" results for all tests. My body aches as if I have the flu, I am weak and have little to no energy, headaches, fatigue, but when I try to sleep I toss and turn most of the night. Could these be signs that I need a colon cleansing? I was considering the lap band (if insurance approves it, that is) if this "colon cleansing" didn't return any results....Any personal stories on these topics would be greatly appreciated. Doubling the dose of progesterone?

i see some ppl take up to 600mg of progesterone a day, my dr prescribed me synthetic progesterone suppositories 20mg 2x a day, and i was told that is not as safe as the natural cream but that being absorbed in your vagina is stronger than the cream being absorbed on your skin, the cream i have is 20mg a pump and i was wondering if i do a dbl pump will that be 40 mg being absorbed? i plan on doing this 2 x a day, so together if in my head i am correct ill be getting closer to 80 mg a day, which is lower than the original dose of 200mg prometrium i got first, but my insurance wouldnt cover it, so if i do 2 pumps 2 times per day, would it be better to use 4 different application spots or 2, is there a way to have it better absorbered or am i just wasting cream, sorry if confused, and thank you for answers

So about a year ago I had a surgery on my foot, that left me in bed for a good 3 weeks. When I finally got out of my bed I noticed that my butt itched a lot! My 1 month old daughter, constipated...?

Why would you bring a child to a long hair salon appointment?

We are in a little business unit with 4 separate units. One is a hair salon - the same women brings her 10 yr. old son with her for her appointments every other week, which usually last for 2 hours or more. Hello. I just got back from the nail salon. I asked them specifically for gel nails, NOT ACRYLICS, and I'm not sure that's what they gave me. Basically they filed my nail with a little tool, glued on a tip, and then painted over it with this mixture of a "catalyst" and a powder. I thought that with gels they put your hands under a UV light, but they never did that with me. All they did was paint over the false tip with a thick mixture that hardened when I put my hands in front of a fan. Did they give me acrylics instead of gels? Thank you.

Hi! I have very golden, coppery, yellow blonde hair and it has GOT TO GO. I want to dye my hair light brown, but I'm a college student and I refuse to spend a fortune at the salon so I'm using box dye. Um use frizz ease shampoo and conditioner, shine serum, leav in, and maybe a bun to sleep in, like a ballerina bun. If its still frizzy I would try deep conditioning 1 time a week. Help please desperate?

my baby is 5 months old and formula fed and she has very irregular bowel movements and the doctor insisted that i start her on solids because she is in the lower end of the percentile for weight. so i started her on solids and she hasnt gone poop since now tonight she is screaming bloody murder and only sleeping when she is too exausted to cry anymore. she hasnt pooped since the day before yesterday... so i gave her a tiny little piece of a glycerin suppository i have done this before and it always makes her go right away when she really needs to. but tonight nothing she hasnt even tried to push after the suppository only scream she has never screamed like this before like she is in pain. what should i do should i go to the hospital?

Monistat 1 causing me serious pain?

Last night I used a 1 dose suppository treatment for a mild yeast infection. I woke up around 1:30am with a horrible itching and burning in my vagina. The pain and discomfort was so excruciating I could not go back to sleep until after 2 and I woke up several times throughout the rest of the night. It still hurts but not as bad, usually just when I stand up and start moving around the irritation comes back. How and how long will it take for the creamy medicine in my vagin to come out? Recurring yeast infection/bacterial vaginosis ?

In November I was put on PO doxycycline for an infection not related to my vagina. It gave me a yeast infection that I attempted to treat with OTC fungicides. The symptoms subsided, but I could tell I still had a vag infection because of the pain during intercourse. I finally got insurance again through my new job in feburary or march and was able to go to the obgyn where they found both yeast and bacteria. I was given vaginal Metronidazole and PO Fluconazole. The symptoms subsided briefly, but came back. So back to the OBGYN I went where I was prescribed vaginal Miconazole. (I should note that all the while I had not been washing my vagina with scented anything and I was wearing cotton panties and I have great hygiene.) The Miconazole worked briefly again and the symptoms came back. This time the OBGYN sent out a swab for a culture. When she checked the wet prep she only noticed clue cells for BV and put me on vaginal Clindamycin. A few days later they found yeast on the culture and again gave me PO Fluconazole. On my last visit I was also perscribed Boric Acid vaginal suppositories which I have been inserting once a week to balance my vaginas pH. Now here I am on a weekend with symptoms and I would really like to know what other people have done about similar situations. Thanks!!

I'm a guy and I have really curly, thick, frizzy hair. I go through a lot of anti-frizz cream that I put in my hair after I get out of the shower at night and it does help for the next day, but it's still frizzy. Was it one of those disposable Fleet enemas? They are not the best choice if you are really backed up. You really need more solution than they contain. What you might try is take the bottle and refill it with warm water. Do this at least 4 times or more and then hold for a few minutes before expelling. This is much more comfortable than using the solution that comes in those bottles.

You may have colitis. An infection in the bowel or lower intestinal tract. When the same thing happened to me we tried every laxative known to man.... nothing worked or it worked too much. I started eating plain vanilla yogurt. Every day - 3 times a day. Something about the bacteria in the yogurt worked for me. I found that seeing a gastrointestinal doctor as opposed to a general physician made more sense for me. Good luck!

Chances of having another missed miscarriage?

This last october(10/16/10) I had a pregnancy that ended in missed miscarriage at 16 weeks. The doctor said the baby had probably passed away a week earlier. It started with a bloating feeling the whole way around mt waiste that was so strong it hurt. This pain lasted for three days. After three days my water finally broke. I did not actually deliver the baby until about three days after my water had broken. I did need a D&C afterwards. Keep in mind the whole time I was bloated I never knew it was something to worry about. So now I an currently a little over 17 weeks pregnant. I did have a scan about a week ago and the baby looked finrle although I was concerned that the heartbeat had dropped from 158 to 133 in the matter of a week. So now all I worry about is another missed miscarriage. I was also on progesterone suppositories untl 16 weeks. So all I'm looking for is some stories of wmen witj similar experiences. Am I supposed to make my own prescription?

My baby still won't poop on her own. She is gaining weight and everything. She is 30 percent formula fed and about 70 percent is breast milk. At 6 weeks she just stopped going on her own and I have to give her suppositories (which I hate doing) but was told my the doctor that this wouldnt hurt her since I let her go about 8 or 9 days before I do this. I have made an appointment with the a gastro pediatric specialist. The doctor bills are killing me, but my baby is more important.

I would suggest taking the Mirilax as prescribed by the doctor so that you can avoid a potentially more complicated problem in the future. You do not want to have to end up having surgery to treat the problem because from what I have read online about this, you could end up with a colostomy bag that would be attached to a hole in your stomach that collects your stool after surgery. To me, I would try the Mirilax - and lots of water! I understand a fear of medicine and it's side effects, I have that as well. My answer to that is that I always try and take a new medicine when I have lots of family/friends around who would be there to support me if anything happened. That gives me the peace of mind to know that if I did have a negative reaction - they would get me urgent care ASAP. It is unlikely that you would have any reaction to Mirilax though. Young children (toddlers) are even prescribed Mirilax to keep them regular at times. If a two year old can do it - you can too. Any short term discomfort or bloating Mirilax would give you is a small price to pay for the pain free future you need and deserve. Once you are regular again your spirits will improve and you will be glad you chose to help yourself.
