Monistat 1 causing me serious pain?

Last night I used a 1 dose suppository treatment for a mild yeast infection. I woke up around 1:30am with a horrible itching and burning in my vagina. The pain and discomfort was so excruciating I could not go back to sleep until after 2 and I woke up several times throughout the rest of the night. It still hurts but not as bad, usually just when I stand up and start moving around the irritation comes back. How and how long will it take for the creamy medicine in my vagin to come out? It seems like my vagina is stuffed with this creamy horrible medicine. Please help.
