How can I prevent Hemorrhoid pain after going to the bathroom?

I had my son this past December and I’m rather positive I have hemorrhoids. It is painful when I have a bowel movement and sometimes blood on the toilet paper. I am using cream, hemorrhoid pads and even a hemorrhoid suppository but still after I go to the bathroom it hurts to sit down or lay down for up to 3 hours after. What can I do to be able to sit and lay down in comfort after a bowel movement?
